Do you have a romantic Valentine’s Day planned out yet? Oh wait. You don’t have a babysitter? No problem! As a mom of four kiddos myself I definitely know that romantic holidays like Valentine’s Day can often be the hardest days to find a sitter. That doesn’t mean you need to forgo a fun date night though! Plan a date night in instead and celebrate at home! I’ve got the BEST date night in idea for you too! This is actually what I’ll be doing for my hubby this Valentine’s Day so SHHHH don’t tell him!
One thing we LOVE to do together is play ping pong! It is SOOOOO much fun! We recently got this amazing Killerspin MyT Wild Ping Pong Table that we are loving! Not only do we love to play each other in ping pong but our kids love it too. We’ve already had so much fun with it and we just got it. Don’t have a ping pong table? I highly recommend you go with the Killerspin MyT Wild Ping Pong Table. It’s an indoor/outdoor table so, depending on the season, you can enjoy it indoors or outdoors! This would make an amazing Valentine’s Day gift for him! Especially if you set it up with this fun date night in idea and surprised him with it!
I’ll share more about the table itself in upcoming posts so keep an eye out and watch the #Killerspin and #UnPlugNPlay hashtags!
Now to set up the date night in display! You’ll want to set your table up as though you were going to play yourself by tilting up one side of the table. Normally you wouldn’t attach the net but for the sake of a ping pong display I set it up as well!
Then print out my free ping pong date night printable and cut out the circle shaped “Let’s Have A Ball This Valentine’s Day”. Attach it to a bamboo skewer and stick it into a bucket of ping pong balls. Our favorite ping pong balls are these Killerspin 72 pack of balls. I just filled up a metal bucket with them which will also double as our new ball storage bucket!
I also picked up a wire wastebasket to serve as the holder for the ping pong paddles. I found it for $3 at Target! Print off the chalkboard printable and cut it out to display with your ping pong paddles.
Then add a few cake stands with some yummy treats you can snack on while you play! I included chocolate covered pretzels, mini cheesecakes, creme puffs, turtles and chocolate candies!
My personal favorite paddles are the Killerspin Jet500 paddles because they are so comfortable to hold and give the ball just the right amount of bounce and spin. They are a favorite of all the amateur ping pong players in my house!
Be sure to go print off the free ping pong date night printable and create your own fun date night in this Valentine’s Day! I recommend printing them on cardstock paper as it is heavier and will stand up better.
Check out our favorite ping pong table, paddles and balls at Killerspin! Get ready to have an amazing Valentine’s Day that will ensure you and your significant other will bond and have great conversation. Put down the phones and devices and spend quality time together instead! That’s what #UnPlugNPlay is all about! I’ve found our ping pong table does an amazing job of separating us from our devices!

What a unique date night idea! I can see a ping pong table being great for the entire family too. Bonding and fun without electronic devices is a total win in my book!
I like how simple this looks! Sometimes just doing something simple is all you need!
