Mozzarella Log Jam Appetizer Recipe! Great Super Bowl Food
Every once in awhile my hubby and I will have a fun family night and make a bunch of appetizers and watch a movie together. It’s one of our favorite things to do. One appetizer we love are these tasty mozzarella log jam appetizers. I used to waitress in college and the restaurant I worked at made a similar recipe and it was always a favorite. They are so easy to make and I now make my own version at home. Similar to mozzarella cheese sticks but with a twist!
All you need to make them is string cheese, won ton wraps and an egg.
Cut your string cheese in half so you have two short pieces. Then wrap in the won ton wrapper and roll. Brush the edge of the wrap with egg to seal it shut and complete your wrap.
When you are done they will look like this.
Then deep fry them until golden brown. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping. It doesn’t get much easier or tastier!

These look absolutely deadly – yum!
Great idea! My girls would devour these!!
Oh my this looks amazing, but where can you buy won ton wrappers, in the refrigerated section of the grocer?
Yes that’s exactly where I found them 🙂
Oh man, those look so good! I need to find some of those wrappers.
I haven’t made anything with wonton wrappers since I was a kid. My aunt and I used to make Italian wontons by using mild Italian sausage. Fry up some sausage and then put it in the wrappers and then she baked them. Seeing these brings back memories. AND? What a great idea to have movie night with favorite homemade apps. I’m going to have to get my family to start doing that!
The Italian wontons sound delicious!
You had me at the mozzarella. These look super good and easy to make!
I love this because it is so easy and I know without a doubt my husband and son would LOVE ’em!
PERFECT idea! I bet these are amazing!
Great idea to use the wraps instead of crumbs.
I love mozzarella sticks- this would be a perfect snack for my family.
What a neat idea. We love cheese!
My daughters love cheese sticks and the fried kind are always a huge hit. This seems like an easy alternative.
This is actually a super clever idea~!

oh yea! this would be great. a new way to make mozzarella sticks even better
They are so delicious and SO simple to make!
What a great appetizer for a game night, movie night, or a party. I love how easy these are to make. Very quick too. Love this!
When you freeze these do you need to thaw them before frying?
I haven’t froze these, but I would thaw them first. The excess water could make for a mess with the oil as they thaw.
Can these be baked instead of deep fried? If at what temp.? And how long?
No, these need to be fried in order to properly cook the egg roll wrapper since it is raw dough. Baked will not give the same result.
