Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff Recipe
Every year we buy half a cow from the farm down the road. The quality of the beef is out of this world and it’s an economical way for us to fill our freezer with beef and eat it year round. I love having a freezer full of beef just waiting for me to turn it into an amazing dish. Never is there a time when I can say there is nothing for dinner. With so many cuts of beef to choose from the possibilities are endless! Whether you buy your beef at the store or from the farmer down the road, the benefits of eating beef are plentiful.
Beef is loaded with essential nutrients to keep you energized all day. Iron helps your body use oxygen, Zinc helps maintain a healthy immune system, and Niacin helps control metabolism and energy production. Now that I’ve sold you on how good beef is for you let’s move on to the good stuff! Beef stroganoff!! Yum! This is my favorite beef stroganoff recipe AND it’s the easiest beef stroganoff recipe I’ve ever made. It’s quick and cooks all day leading to beef that falls apart and melts in your mouth. It’s perfect and totally fool proof. This recipe allows for you to use any cut of beef. You can use stew meat or filet mignon. It’s up to you and your preference. I tend to choose an inexpensive cut of meat as any cut will taste good in this slow cooker beef stroganoff recipe. Since it cooks all day, it will fall apart even if it isn’t the most tender cut. For mine I grabbed a top round out of the freezer and cubed it.
Here is a quick rundown of just how easy this recipe is to throw together in the morning and then enjoy at dinner time!
