Easy 3 Step DIY Paper Bowls Kids Craft Idea!
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Faultless/Bon Ami Company . All opinions are 100% mine.
These easy 3 step DIY paper bowls are so easy and so cool! Kids as young as two can make these (with a little adult help) and then you can display them as art! They are fun and artistic and the perfect kids craft idea for a rainy day.
All you need for this kids craft project is a water color set, Faultless Premium Starch and coffee filters. It’s easy, inexpensive and you probably already have these things on hand.
If you aren’t familiar with Faultless Premium Starch it can be purchased in the laundry aisle of major retailers. Unlike other starch, the Faultless Premium bottle won’t clog, flake or stick. Of course it is made to keep your clothes looking new and keep you looking your best so I always have it on hand right next to my ironing board! Think starch is just for your Grandma? Think again!
Next spread your coffee filter flat on a paper towel or two. On one of my bowls I cut the edges of the coffee filter so they were more irregular and the other I didn’t. I preferred the finished look of the coffee filter that I cut the edges on. Just cut them a little along the edge so it isn’t so perfect looking. Now paint it with the water colors.
Place a cup upside down on a paper towel.
Drape your painted coffee filter over the cup and spray it with Faultless Premium Starch. Give it a good coating and allow it to fully dry before removing it from the cup.
Your finished product will look like this! Display it for everyone to see. It’s a work of art!
Grab a Faultless Premium Coupon to save on your purchase of Faultless Spray Starch! You can find a store near you that carries Faultless! Be sure to also check out Faultless on Facebook for more tips and tricks!
Have you ever used spray starch before? What have you used it for?
im assuming they are just for looks ,,can they be used for anything else?
You could use them to put small trinkets in. I wouldn’t use them for anything with any moisture.
Oh my goodness, how cute! I love that they can create their own designs to really make it “theirs.” My kids could definitely keep their beads and jewelry making accessories in these. Who knew that starch could be used for crafts! Thanks for the giveaway, too!
Those are so cute and look so easy to make! This is a craft my youngest would be crazy about! I think I’ll try it out with him soon!

How cute are these!?! I love this idea and will be having some fun with my niece making these. I’ll be happy to use spray starch for something other than ironing my husband’s work shirts!
Love this! Colorful, fun and so simple to make.
Those are my favorite things in a craft.
These are really so cute! Thanks.
So cute!! I have to find the starch now!
They are so easy and fun to make. Enjoy!
Hi,
I did this with my grandson and they’re so cute. But is there any way to make them sturdier? I drenched them in spray starch but they didn’t harden a whole lot.
Thanks,
Debra
We just used the starch spray on ours but I would imagine you could maybe use a thin layer of clear elmers glue or spray on glue to make it a little harder. Let us know if you try it!
