Frozen Jello Pops Recipe
Frozen Jello Pops
One memory I have from my childhood is my mom making frozen Jello Pops. They were my favorite! She had these Tupperware molds that she made them in and it was such a treat when we got to have them. The texture of these Jello popsicles is so fantastic. They are unlike regular ice pops and the flavor is amazing. They are really quick and easy to make and easy enough for the kids to help.

You’ll need some basic ingredients to make these easy Jello pops.
- 3 oz pack of Jell-O, any flavor
- 1 packet of unsweetened Kool-Aid, any flavor
- 3/4 Cup sugar
- 2 Cups boiling water
- 2 Cups cold water
Jello Pops Directions
First, bring 2 cups of water to boiling. I put mine in the microwave for 4-5 minutes until boiling. Then stir in the Jell-O, Kool-Aid and sugar until dissolved. Add the cold water and then pour into popsicle molds. Freeze 4-6 hours until solid.

Looks like they really enjoyed the pops and I can see that the wipes came in very handy.
I make homemade Popsicle’s often but have never made actual Jello pops. Thanks for the recipe!
do these have the consistency of jello? they’d be cute in a rainbow of colors
These have a really nice texture. They aren’t like Jell-O but they are different from regular freezer pops. It’s hard to describe!
My kids make messes with everything, lol. Cool treats are definitely one of them though. Never thought of freezing jello.
My kids are a DISASTER! We only eat pops outside because of the mess! I love having Wet Naps handy for easy clean up!
Those look so tasty, I’m gad the wet naps picked up the mess.
I have never tried making popsicles with Jello; my boys would love these.
I think my mother deprived me of a complete childhood experience because we never had these as kids. Food isn’t fun unless you make a mess with it!
We made popsicles as kids but never Jell-O pops. My kids would love these. I need to invest in some popsicle molds.
We had popsicles when we were kids- my Mom had the same molds. With 4 kids making a mess she could barely keep up!
Pops like that are so much but you are right they are messy! It is great you had clean up on hand to not make that stressful.
These look delicious! Heck, I’m an adult and will admit I sometimes apparently channel my inner kid and make big messes. 😉
Love Wet-Naps! They’re so convenient. And those jello pops look good, I’m going to have to make these for my kids.
I’m glad you shared that about Wet-Naps not having the irritating ingredient. Your summer treats sound fabulous!
My toddler would love these. YUM!
that looks so good,my grandkids would love for me and them to make these,,thanks
Such an easy recipe, the color is so bright I know they must be tasty!
I love the popsicles. I think the mess they are making is worth it. These are great pictures too. It is always great to have something great to clean up after them with too.
Sometimes the messes are worth the memories right? 🙂
Oh I like these. I never tried using jello for freezing as popsicles. Really neat and something to try and I am sure kids love them.
they look so good. my daughter loves popsicles and you def need somethind to clean up with when they are finished eating. ill look for those wet naps at the store
Yes, popsicles are always messy!
I’ve made the watermelon jello pops before using strawberry jello, lime jello, cream cheese and mini chocolate chips. A bit tedious, but they were a super big hit with kids and adults!
Those sound amazing Heather! I need to give those a try. I bet the kids loved them!
looks really good but messy,,how hard was it to clean up?
what a great idea!
I make my own pops as well but I have never tried to make them with Jello. I usually blend fruit with a little bit of milk and that will do the trick. I will try these =]
Jello pops, those bring back memories. Yogurt pops are cool too – I remember wolfing those down on summer days…
Great hands-on fun project for kids; and they can get messy and have fun and it’s all okay. Like the wipes, can’t live without them!
We can no longer get the koolaid crystals so how much would you use with the liquid kool aid?
Thanks
I have never made these with liquid Kool Aid but if I were to try I would substitute the cold water for cold KoolAid liquid. Let us know how it works!
I’ve been eating these for over 50 years. The original recipe called for 1 cup sugar. I’m on a low carb diet and have been trying to figure out how to make these with substitute sugar. Not having luck so far.
I wonder if stevia would work in place of the sugar?
