This ocean clownfish handprint art project is so much fun for kids and you get a special keepsake at the end!
This handprint art project is so much fun and it is really easy! What I love about handprint art projects is that you get a special keepsake with your child’s handprint on it at the end of the project! It’s a fun kids activity with a keepsake as your reward.
We are doing a week of ocean-themed activities and yesterday we made a frozen ocean sensory bin. Be sure to check it out if you missed it! If you sign up for my summer camp at home email list you’ll get all of the ocean-themed activities and free printables delivered to your inbox before they go live here!

Help your child gently press their hand down onto the canvas. Give their hand a firm press and then gently pull up to prevent smearing the paint. Allow the paint to dry completely.

Use paint brushes to add coral, seaweed and bubbles above the fish. Add a white eyeball to the fish as well.
Clownfish Handprint Art Step 4
Thin down your blue paint and paint the rest of the canvas blue.

Use a black permanent marker to add detail to the fish. Give the fish an eye and a mouth.
