Blueberry Frozen Yogurt Pops Recipe + Other Natural Teething Relief Tricks!
As a parent it is never easy to see your children in pain. When babies are teething it can be miserable for both the baby and the parents! Today I’m bringing you some fantastic natural teething remedies that work! These frozen yogurt pops will soothe sore gums and bring some much needed relief to your baby!
As a mother to four children and a Registered Nurse I have a broad background in dealing with teething pain. I have to say that thanks to some of these natural teething relief methods we have managed to sail through 4 kids teething! You don’t need to medicate your child and rub chemicals all over their gums to deliver pain relief when they are cutting new teeth. Try these first and resort to chemicals and medications as a last ditch effort.
These blueberry frozen yogurt pops are a really tasty way to sooth sore baby gums. Instead of gnawing on teething rings all day, give them one of these frozen yogurt pops instead! Not only does the cold soothe sore gums, but blueberries are proven to be highly beneficial to our bodies! They are loaded with antioxidants and are very healthy. Pair them with greek yogurt and you’ve got a healthy snack that does double duty in soothing sore gums.
To make these blueberry frozen yogurt pops simply combine 2 cups of blueberries with 2 cups of vanilla greek yogurt in a blender or food processor. Mix until desired consistency is reached. If your baby is new to self-feeding then I would recommend doing a fine puree. If your making these for an older toddler then you can leave the blueberries more chunky to add texture.
Then pour the mixture into small dixie cups and fill halfway. Insert wood stick. I recommend using wide, short sticks that are easier for little baby hands to hold on to. Place on a tray and freeze for 4 hours. To eat simply pop them out of the cup and serve immediately. I recommend making these a mini “baby size” pop. Use the 3 oz dixie cups or go even smaller and use medicine cups to achieve baby-size pops.
When your baby is teething you need as many natural teething remedies as you can get your hands on! I have several natural teething relief tricks I keep up my sleeve. Have these on hand at all times and when your baby wakes in the middle of the night you won’t be caught empty-handed.
I LOVE Wellements Baby Tooth Oil to quickly soothe sore gums naturally.
Wellements Baby Tooth Oil is made using only five carefully selected ingredients – olive oil, clove bud, stevia, spearmint and vitamin E. There is quite a bit of controversy over whether or not you should give your baby homeopathic teething remedies due to them containing belladonna. After reading up on belladonna I have decided it is not something I personally want to give to my children. Luckily, Wellements baby tooth oil does NOT contain belladonna and is not homeopathic.
Wellements Baby Tooth Oil can be applied to your baby’s gums every 1-2 hours as needed and works almost instantly. With no benzocaine, belladonna, alcohol, parabens, gluten, dairy, soy, artificial colors, artificial flavors, or chemical preservatives, you can rest assured that it is safe for your baby!
Wellements Baby Tooth Oil is available online at Wellements.com and on Amazon.
Some of my other favorite natural teething remedies include freezing fruit such as blueberries, quartered grapes, sliced bananas and diced strawberries and giving it to my baby as a soothing finger food. This works great for babies that are starting to self-feed. Ensure the pieces are small enough that they won’t choke on them. The frozen fruit soothes sore gums and helps to numb them to the pain.
If you have a baby who isn’t quite ready for feeding themselves fruit pieces, then place larger pieces of frozen fruit inside a mesh feeder so they can gum them.
For soothing relief anytime, wet the corner of a washcloth and place it inside a plastic bag. Freeze for 4 hours or until needed and then give it to baby to chew on. Keep a few in the freezer so you don’t run out!
I hope some of these natural teething remedies work as well for you as they have for us! Remember that low fevers are not uncommon during teething and your baby doesn’t need medicine to reduce the fever unless they are uncomfortable because of it or the fever becomes elevated. Consult with your child’s doctor if you have concerns over their symptoms.

I added the natural oil to my list of great baby products. I really think it would work well, because I have a similiar natural product that works better than Listerine. It’s called OraMD and is for healthy gums for adults. It really works, and is just natural oils too.
