Wombat’s Slow Brew Lemonade Recipe
My kids love the new P. King Duckling series on Disney Junior and we came up with this fun Wombat’s Slow Brew Lemonade recipe with lemon juice just like on the show! Grab it for your next P. King Duckling party or playdate!
*This post is part of a sponsored campaign for P. King Duckling. I received compensation for my participation, but my review and opinions are my own.
Have you caught the new series, P. King Duckling, on Disney Junior yet? It airs weekdays at 8:05 AM and my kids love the fun characters and episodes! I love the positive messages they share. They are always going on fun adventures and learning new life lessons in the process.
My kids were in a funk this weekend and they were fighting with each other all weekend. I turned on the P. King Duckling Lemonade Standoff episode and sat back while they watched Wombat and Chumpkins feud over their lemonade stands. It resembled much of my children’s feuding all weekend.
They then got to watch as Chumpkins and Wombat resolved their issues and worked together instead. Miraculously the remainder of our day has been filled with cooperation and has been void of fighting.
Wombat’s Lemonade Recipe
The episode inspired us to create our own slow brew lemonade recipe with lemon juice, just like Wombat did for her lemonade stand! Wombat loves making natural homemade lemonade with a pinch of cinnamon so we made our own slow brew lemonade using natural ingredients and it turned out amazing!
To make this lemonade recipe with lemon juice you’ll simply need sugar, lemon juice, water and a pinch of cinnamon.
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil and stir until sugar is dissolved. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until chilled.
- Use a lemon squeezer to juice your lemons. Remove seeds from lemon juice, but leave pulp. In a pitcher, stir together chilled simple syrup mixture, lemon juice and remaining 7 cups water. Add a pinch of cinnamon just like Wombat to complete the slow brew lemonade recipe!
