These seashell cookies are SO quick and easy to make that even the most novice baker can accomplish them. They look like they are straight off pinterest but trust me these are so easy you’ll wonder why you haven’t made them sooner! Get ready to awe your beach party guests with this fun beach party themed food!
I made these seashell cookies for my daughter’s pool party. She requested a beach theme and these were a HUGE hit with all the girls at the party, even the parents indulged in them! These will work great for beach party food, moana party food or any seashell / beach themed party. Plus they are SO easy and there is NO baking involved. Mom for the win!
You’ll need the following supplies for this seashell cookies recipe:
- Oreos (chocolate)
- Candy melts (blue and white)
- Seashell candy mold
- Chocolate melter ( I use this one ) or stove top with pan
And for the realistic sand I served them on you’ll need:
- 1 package golden oreos
- 2 chocolate oreo cookies

Make the seashells first by melting the white candy melts in the chocolate melter and then pouring them into the seashell candy mold. If you don’t have a chocolate melter then you can use a double boiler on the stove or microwave them. I personally find it difficult to keep the candy at the perfect temperature for dipping with this method and love my melter that has a keep warm setting to keep the melts at the perfect temp for dipping. It’s a great investment if you plan on using candy melts much. Place in the fridge while you continue making the cookies.
Next, make the realistic beach sand by placing a package of golden oreos in the food processor with 2 chocolate oreos. Pulse until texture resembles sand. Reserve for your display platter.
Once seashells are hard, remove from fridge and pop out onto a plate.
Next, melt the blue candy melts in your melting pot and then dip each chocolate oreo cookie in the blue candy melts and tap off excess candy melt. Place on a piece of parchment paper. Then immediately press a seashell into the blue candy melt covered oreo before it hardens. This will hold the seashell in place. Continue dipping and placing seashells onto the seashell cookies until all oreos have been covered. Allow to harden at room temperature (or in the fridge if you wish to speed it up). Then peel away from parchment paper and place on a platter on top of the cookie sand you made.

These seashell cookies are sooooo cute. I love seashells and can’t wait to make these for a special occasion. Thank you for sharing at Think Tank Thursday link party. Pinned and shared.
Thank you Amy!
These are too cute and look delicious. Who knew you could make so many things for Oreos.
What do you use to dip the Oreos in the chocolate? Your fingers?
I just used two forks to dip them and then one underneath while the extra stuff dripped off.
I have to remember these to keep them in mind, as these cookies are adorable. And aren’t that hard to do, either, especially considering I can see, yes, they’d be a big hit, and really add to the theme of the get together.
