A is for Ant Alphabet Letter Craft {Free Printables}

In this weekly letter activities series, I hope you find fun and easy ideas to help your preschooler (or kindergartener) with letter recognition. These activities are designed to help reinforce each letter with a fun craft that your child can do on their own (with a little help from an adult).
Letter Craft “A” is for Ant
Letter Craft Supplies:
Craft Foam (like this)
Glue (can use hot glue or white school glue)
Scissors
Black Marker
Paper or Cardstock
Red Pipe Cleaners
Googly Eyes

Begin by printing out the free printable letter “A” template on printer paper or cardstock.
Get the free letter A template by entering your email below and we will send it immediately to your inbox so you can download it and print it!
Cut it out around the outside edges and inside.
Then use it as a stencil to cut out your foam letter “A” on black craft foam.
Cut out the foam letter “A”.
Draw three circles onto red craft foam. Draw each one larger than the next.
Cut them out and glue the circles together with the largest one in the middle and the smallest circle at the top.
Glue googly eyes onto smallest circle and add a smile with black marker.
Cut four pieces of red pipe cleaner and bend into the shape of a V. Glue onto the back of the ant.
Cut two pieces of red pipe cleaner and twist at the end to create antennae. Glue onto the back of the head. Glue entire ant onto your letter A.

Such a cute craft. This is a great idea and will be perfect for 2 of my grandsons.
Ants only have six legs, so the instruction to make four “v” with pipe cleaners needs to be changed to three.
