Letter F Craft Idea

In this weekly letter activities series, I hope you find fun and easy ideas to help your preschooler (or kindergartener) with letter recognition. These activities are designed to help reinforce each letter with a fun craft that your child can do on their own (with a little help from an adult).

F is for fly and we have an adorable little fly guy to go with our letter F craft. Kids will love creating their own fly to glue on to their letter F. We used craft foam for this project but you can also use colored construction paper!

 

You’ll need a few basic art supplies for this letter F craft.

LETTER CRAFT SUPPLIES:

• Craft Foam (like this)
• Glue (can use hot glue or white school glue)
• Scissors
• Black Marker
• Paper or Cardstock
• Googley eyes

1.) After gathering all of the supplies, you will first download the letter F template and print onto paper or cardstock. Get the free templates by entering your email in the form below. We will send them to your inbox so you can download and print them!

 

 

2.) Cut out the letter F and trace onto the craft foam.

 

 

3.) Cut the letter out.

 

 

4.) Download and print the Fly template (emailed to you after you enter your email below). Cut out.

5.) Trace the fly template onto craft foam. Cut out.

 

 

6.) Glue the head and wings onto the fly.

 

 

7.) Glue on googly eyes.

 

 

8.) Glue the fly to the letter F.

 

 

9.) Draw “motion” swirls with a black marker.
