Danika & Carson! Love at first sight

I expected that Danika would love her new baby brother. She was so excited for his arrival and at just three years old wanted to know what she could help with. She peppered me with questions before he arrived, like “Can I change his diaper?”, “Can I get you burp cloths?”, “Can I hold him?” and on and on. What I didn’t expect was that she would be totally enamored with him. She will sit and stare at him while he sleeps in his bassinet for hours, stroking his hair and turning on his Giraffe noise machine. She absolutely dotes on him and it is the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen. At just three years old she is already an amazing big sister. She not only loves to hold him and stare at him proclaiming how cute he is but she also does the dirty work of throwing away his poopy diapers, putting my pumped breastmilk in the fridge, bringing my pump in the kitchen so I can wash it later and even has been helping me fold the laundry. This little girl has amazed me in the past week and I’m so proud of her!
