Letter K Craft

This fun kangaroo craft is all about the letter K! Be sure to talk about the letter K, the sound it makes, what words start with the letter K. Of course, don’t forget to talk about kangaroos too! Where do they live? What do they eat? Where do their babies sleep? So many ways to teach the letter K!

In this weekly letter activities series, I hope you find fun and easy ideas to help your preschooler (or kindergartener) with letter recognition. These activities are designed to help reinforce each letter with a fun craft that your child can do on their own (with a little help from an adult).

 

 

 

LETTER CRAFT SUPPLIES:

You’ll need a few basic arts and crafts supplies for this craft!

• Craft Foam (like this)
• Glue (can use hot glue or white school glue)
• Scissors
• Black Marker
• Paper or Cardstock
• Googley eyes

1.) After gathering all of the supplies, you will first download the letter K template and print onto paper or cardstock. To get the letter K craft just enter your email below and we will send it straight to your inbox so you can download and print the templates!

 

 

 

2.) Cut out the letter K and trace onto the craft foam. Cut the letter out.

 

 

 

3.) Download and print the Kangaroo template. Cut out.

 

4.) Trace the kangaroo template onto craft foam. Cut out.

 

 

5.) Outline the kangaroo with black marker.

 

 

6.) Glue the ears and nose onto the kangaroo.

 

 

7.) Glue on googly eyes.

 

 

8.) Glue the kangaroo onto the letter K.
