Holiday Gift Guide: Step2 Extreme Coaster Review!

Step2 is a company that has been around for a very long time. We have become fans of theirs thanks to their quality toys and great selection. Last year I highlighted one of their playhouses in my Gather & Grille Playhouse review. It was a huge hit then and still is. It’s survived our move to a new home and is still holding up great and providing tons of imaginative play to my kids. When thinking of a great “wow” Santa gift idea this year of course I turned to Step2. With their wide variety and great selection of toys for every age group I knew they’d have the perfect gift idea for my kids.

We came across the Step2 Extreme Coaster and what can I say? My kids love adventure and Aiden is all about anything with wheels so this seemed like a natural choice. When it arrived the kids couldn’t wait to get it together and play with it. My husband assembled it and said that assembly was easy to understand. It took awhile to get it together simply because of the size of it. My hubby is smart and he assembled the car first so they could play with that while he finished assembling the coaster.

Once assembled the kids couldn’t wait to try it out. Danika easily pushed the car to the top of the Extreme Coaster and we gave her a push down. She giggled the whole way and loved it. Aiden couldn’t wait to try it out next. Despite being just under two years old he was also able to easily push the car up the coaster to the top. I love that the car locks in at the top so they can easily climb into it without worrying about going flying down before they are ready. Once he was in the car we gave him a push down and he too loved the ride. They took turns racing down the Extreme Coaster until it was after dark and we had to drag them in the house.

Why we love it: The Step2 Extreme Coaster is simply a TON of fun. My kids love it and even with Aiden being just under 2 years old he is able to easily push the car up the ramp to the top of the coaster. It is constructed well and provides hours of entertainment for your kids. Apparently, I’m not the only one who loves it either. Check out Step2’s website for customer reviews. It includes 590 positive reviews and has 5 stars!

Suggestions for improvement: We couldn’t come up with any. From the steps being built into the center of the ramp to the durable plastic, we were impressed.

Buy It! You can buy the Step2 Extreme Coaster at retailers near you and on Step2’s website. It retails for $259.99 and is currently on a price reduction for $219.99!
