Can I be honest with you? My biggest pet peeve is when I see a fellow blogger making money off teaching others how to blog when they themselves have never blogged anything! If you are making money solely off teaching someone how to do something that you yourself have never been successful at, then you are NOT the person I want teaching me how to succeed. That is why I strive to be as transparent as possible with you. Let me share my background with you so that you can decide if you are in the right place to learn or not!
My name is Sarah and I am a wife and mother to four children ages 3, 5, 7 and 9. I am also a full time blogger at Must Have Mom. As you can imagine I am a VERY busy woman, however I have managed to develop a system that allows me to manage it all and be able to stay home with our four kids while earning an income from home.
I started out as a Registered Nurse working in Labor & Delivery at a large hospital. I LOVED my job but I hated the hours! When I had my first child I decided that I couldn’t put a child on the crazy schedule that made up my husband’s and my daily life. I made the HUGE decision to stay home and give up my salary as an RN. This was a big and scary step. In that time I quickly learned how to save money and how to make money from home along with some very useful strategies for living on one income.
It is my goal to share not only how to blog for income with you, but also to share how to live on one income and make money from home while you are growing your blog. I have so much I have learned over the last 9 years I have been blogging and it would be a shame not to share it with you!
I started blogging initially before it was ever a “thing” and I did it solely to have an outlet and connect with the outside world. I then delved into coupon blogging and finally transitioned to a lifestyle blog that covers parenting, recipes, DIY projects and more.
There are so many lessons I wish I had known from the start. There are so many things I kick myself over now because I know I missed out on HUGE amounts of money simply because I didn’t know any better. I am going to share with you all of these lessons so you can start out right and be successful in much less time than it took me.
