When my son Aiden was a baby his skin started to break out in a terrible rash. I brought him to the Pediatrician and she said he had sensitive skin and that it looked like Eczema. She suggested I stop using any scented lotions or baby wash and use very mild products on his skin. Ever since then he has continued to use a select few products that are gentle enough on his skin that he doesn’t get a rash from them at all. Now with my son Carson coming along behind him I was armed with this information. I kept a close eye on his skin and noticed that straight home from the hospital after using the scented baby lotion there his skin was already breaking out. Ever since bringing him home I’ve had to use mild products on him as well otherwise his skin breaks out.
One line of baby products that I have found to be safe and gentle on my boys’ skin is Exederm. We’ve been using their products for about a year now and they have never caused a problem for my son’s skin. Their cleansing baby bath is perfect for bath time and I love the easy dispense spout. I was really surprised when I looked at this chart which compares Exederm to other leading baby brands:
I was particularly surprised by Aquaphor being on here as my pediatrician had recommended that we try using that!
I also really love the Exederm Baby Lotion. It is really thick and moisturizes great. I use it on Aiden’s cheeks this time of year because they get really red and chapped. It clears it up really quickly. I’ve been using the baby lotion on both Aiden and Carson and it is working great!
Why we love it: Exederm is gentle and works great on my kids’ skin.
Suggestions for improvement: None, we love our Exederm!
