This past weekend I had the awesome opportunity to host a Calphalon/Williams-Sonoma House Party. If you haven’t signed up for House Party yet then you definitely should. You are able to apply to host many different types of parties. If you are selected then you get to host a party and get some awesome goodies to share with your guests.
The first thing on my dinner menu was the Grilled Crostini with Provolone and Wichcraft Tomato Relish. This is a picture of what was left of it after I put it out and had a chance to grab my camera. As you can see it was a hit! It was super yummy. They tasted much like a little pizza bite. The Tomato Relish is available at Williams Sonoma. The crostini was made with the Calphalon Sear Nonstick Pan. It worked wonderfully. It seared it so well. It was nice and crisp and super easy to make.
Next up was the pork tenderloin. They were cut into medallions and marinated then seared on the Sear Nonstick Pan. The pan works great for a whole range of things. The pork was really yummy too!
Here is my pork all ready to serve. The really neat thing about the pan is that you can sear each side of your pork and then put it in the oven right in the Sear pan to finish cooking. No need to transfer to another pan! Very cool!
The guests got some really fun swag from Calphalon and Williams-Sonoma. I love the Calphalon cooking utensils. They worked great. The spatula was really perfect for flipping delicate food too.
We had so many guests that we had to bring in extra tables and pack them all in! Everyone had a great time.
Calphalon and Williams Sonoma certainly made this “Easy and Elegant Dinner Party” a success!
I was really excited to make the Lemon-Ricotta Blinis with Raspberry Sorbet for dessert. I used the Calphalon Slide Nonstick Pan to cook them on and it worked wonderfully. They didn’t stick at all and slid right off. It cooked them perfectly and they were light, airy and delicate.
The Blini recipe did make a little too much batter though! There was no way I could’ve cooked them all that night if I tried haha. They were so yummy though I wish I could’ve!
The Blinis were then paired with raspberry sorbet and fresh raspberries. The pairing was surprisingly wonderful. They were a huge hit and I could’ve ate 50 of them they were so good. The little hint of lemon in the blinis paired with the raspberry was such a refreshing and wonderful combination.
I love the Calphalon Sear and Slide Nonstick Pans. They are dishwasher safe which is a huge plus. They were easy to clean and I loved that they are also oven safe. They made preparing the food really easy and fun. Between the Sear and Slide surfaces they’ve got all of your cooking needs covered!
All in all it was a very fun event and I have to say a special thank you to Calphalon and Williams Sonoma for helping me to put on such a great dinner party. I also have to thank one of my special guests. My Mom brought a friend, Sandy who happens to be a loyal blog reader of mine 🙂 It was the first time I had met her and she was such a huge help! She helped cook and clean up and wasn’t afraid to jump in and help. I told her I usually don’t put my guests to work the first time I meet them! I was very grateful for her help 🙂 So thank you Sandy!
Go check out Calphalon’s new pans and visit Williams Sonoma for their awesome Wichcraft Tomato Relish!
