I’ve always wanted a toaster oven. I just thought they would be so convenient to use in place of heating up a whole oven for a small meal. I was given the opportunity to try out the Black & Decker Convection Toaster Oven while participating in their Ultimate Sandwich Recipe Contest. I was so excited to finally own one and I was so amazed at everything it can do! Now I get to share my recipe submission with you so you can make these mouthwatering Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches at home too!
Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches (made completely in a toaster oven!):
6 Chicken Breast Tenders
1 cup Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
3 Sandwich Rolls
1 Cup Marinara Sauce (jarred)
1-2 Cups Mozzarella Cheese
1 Cup Grated Parmesan
First you are going to dip each chicken breast tender in the egg and then coat with bread crumbs. Place each one on the pan to go into the toaster oven. Cook according to toaster oven directions. Approx 350 degrees for 30-40 min, until no longer pink in center. Then remove from toaster oven.
Split your sandwich rolls and place open face on a pan or directly on the rack. Toast buns lightly until warm.
Next, add marinara sauce and cheeses and put back in toaster oven on broil until cheese is melted. Use as much or as little marinara and cheese as suites your taste.
Now you will add your cooked chicken tenders on top. Place two on each sandwich.
Cover chicken tenders with marinara and cheeses to taste. Place back in toaster oven on broil until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from toaster oven once cheese is melted.
Don’t these look delicious? I have to say the homemade chicken tenders really add a lot of flavor and the convection cooking keeps them moist and delicious.
These Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches were delicious and my family gobbled them up in no time. I’m lucky I got a picture! The thing I love about the toaster oven is that you don’t have to heat up the whole house by turning on the oven. It works great and cooks evenly and the results are delicious!
