Blueberry Bombshell Cookie Recipe

These cookies taste like blueberry muffins in a cookie. They are great. Best when warm from the oven but great the next day too.

Mix ingredients together, fold in blueberries and form balls on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon sugar if desired.

Devour!

Blueberry Bombshell Cookies

Soft, chewy blueberry cookie that tastes like blueberry muffins!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup Shortening
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 Cups Hodgson Mill Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Frozen Blueberries

Instructions
 

  • Mix together shortening, egg and sweet milk.
  • Add in baking powder, flour, salt and sugar.
  • Mix well by hand.
  • Fold in blueberries.
  • Form balls and drop on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper 2'' apart.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
  • Store loosely covered. DO NOT store in an air tight container or they will get too soft.

    1. I am sure fresh blueberries would work too. Since it is Winter I went with frozen as they were more economical and I figured the added water content of the frozen berries would even out the wheat flour sucking the moisture out.

        1. Let me know how he likes them 🙂 Be sure to store them loosely covered because if they are in an airtight container they get much too soft.

  7. Oh these look so good with the blueberries! Interesting with the Sweetened Condensed Milk in them! Have to give these a try! Carter loves blueberries!
