Last month I told you how we got more out of our quick little Summer getaway at Embassy Suites. Have you taken a Summer vacation yet? Summer is quickly coming to an end but there is still time left to get a little vacation in! My hubby just told me that for my Birthday which is coming up the beginning of next month he is taking me on an overnight getaway to the cities so I can go to the State Fair (my personal favorite!) and ValleyFair (an amusement park). I can’t wait for our little getaway! It will be one of the last for the Summer and then Fall will be here. If you are looking for an awesome hotel to stay at for your own little getaway then check out our personal experience at Embassy Suites. It was awesome! The hotel was clean, luxurious and family friendly, not often a combination you find in many places. The free cooked to order breakfast was the cherry on top of it all. It was amazing!
The food was sooooo good and there was SO much to choose from! There was something for everyone. From cooked to order omelettes to bacon, pancakes, dry cereal, fruit, toast, yogurt, they had it all! Add in some juice or hot chocolate and you were ready to start your day!
Danika was a big fan of the pancakes and so was I! They were SO good!
Aiden was thrilled that they had Cocoa Puffs for breakfast too.
After breakfast we relaxed in the atrium area which really has a communal feeling to it with chairs and tables set up all around it. It was nice to just sit and relax a bit before heading out to start out day at the MN Zoo.
The hotel was beautiful and we will definitely stay there again.
The whole family loved it and just by adding a vacation day to the beginning of our weekend we extended our little mini vacation and made it last a lot longer. Even if you only have a few vacation days left you can maximize them by tacking them on to holidays or weekends. That’s our favorite way to maximize my husband’s limited vacation time.
