Here in Minnesota our state bird is the mosquito. Okay it’s not really the mosquito but that is the statewide, running joke among Minnesota residents. The mosquitoes can be brutal and keeping them away has become an even bigger concern as West Nile Virus spread across the country in the last several years. I want to be sure and defend my family from the bugs but I want to be able to do it in a natural way that isn’t going to interfere with my kids growing bodies or harm their itty bitty systems. I found Intelligent Nutrients thanks to a friend who is getting married outdoors this month. She wrote to me and wanted to know if it worked. Her plan was to buy it and put it out at the wedding for people to use to combat the bugs. I told her I’d try it and put it to the test on her behalf. Over the course of the Summer we’ve been trying it out. My family, my friends and our friends children. Of course the bride I am testing it for also put it to the test herself. We went camping and took it along and have used it in a variety of settings. The Bug Repellent also pairs nicely with the diffuser so we also put that to the test.
The Certified Organic Bug Repellent Serum was the first thing we tried out. I used it, my kids used it, anyone that came over to visit us used it. The smell is nice and not overpowering or perfumey. You don’t have the overwhelming citronella scent either. The bug repellent seemed to work well. I would compare it to other insect repellent’s effectiveness without all the nasty chemicals in it. So what is in it?
USDA certified organic personal perfume skillfully crafted to attract humans while at the same time repel biting, stinging, scourging insects. Profoundly unique from the often unpleasant smelling, citrus and citronella scents we have grown to expect, our insect fighting blend is enjoyable to wear even when you don’t need the repelling attributes. Free from drying and dehydrating chemicals, our skin loving and non greasy combination of oils condition and soften while providing moisture resistance. 100% DEET free, formula lets you, your family and pets live and play in and outdoors in a gentle, safe, non-toxic and organic way.

Once the Bug Repellent got the stamp of approval we tried it out in the Handcrafted Glass & Wood Essential Oil Diffuser. These are beautiful additions to your table and would also be a great way to diffuse the bug repellent at a wedding while still looking attractive.
This beautifully handcrafted diffuser disperses essential oils to purify, deodorize and refresh your personal environment. Its powerful, yet silent design propels essential oils without the use of heat preserving the functional properties of the essential oils. The beautiful glass pyramid casts a soft glow providing color and light therapy benefits.
The diffuser worked well. It dispersed the oils and created a nice glow. It is perfect for indoor use and could be used outdoors on the deck but it does have to be plugged in. We put our cord through the center umbrella hole on the table and then scooted it back to cover the hole and the cord. This diffuser can be used for any type of essential oils. I think the ideal use would be indoors.
