This Summer has been SO incredibly busy for us. Last Summer was spent selling our house, packing up it’s contents and buying and moving into a new house all while I was 8 months pregnant with Carson! Our big move happened over the July 4th holiday so this year we celebrated being in our new home for a year! I think since we missed out on our whole Summer last year while we were busy with the move and baby preparations, we are making up for it this year! Our schedule is packed and I can’t believe it’s already the middle of July!
We were really excited to set up the pool we bought last year on clearance. I got this lovely pool for just $40 on clearance at Target at the end of the season! While it wasn’t quite as big as the picture depicted it will be perfect for the kids to learn to swim in this year! The picture shows a man up to his waist in the pool and it turned out to only be 3 feet deep! It is still great for floating in though and perfect for Danika because she can touch which makes her more confident in the water. She is loving wearing her SwimWays Swim Steps shark fin vest while she lurks around in the water. I’m so proud that she is starting to be confident enough to learn how to swim!
No matter how busy we are one thing we don’t forget to do is apply sunscreen! It is SO important to protect your kids AND yourself from the sun’s harmful rays! With more and more talk about the risks of sun exposure and skin cancer I am more aware now than ever about the importance of protecting my family.
I love the Coppertone Wet ‘n Clear Kids SPF 45+ sunscreen. It sprays on clear and there is no need to towel them off before reapplying it. It’s quick and easy which is a must with active toddlers! My kids don’t like having their faces sprayed so the Coppertone Water Babies Pure & Simple Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 is perfect to use on their faces. I also use it on Carson since he doesn’t react well to the sprays. I love swimming but it’s not very enjoyable if you can’t swim because you have to keep an eye on your kid. So we decided to just have our toddler play in his wading pool and us just sit there and watch him have fun.
